Porotta Hut is a popular multi-location restaurant chain renowned for its signature porotta, biriyani, mandi, and a wide variety of South Indian and Indo-Arab dishes. The primary objective of this project was to consolidate the brand's digital visibility into a single, unified platform that represents its growing presence across Trivandrum, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Bahrain. The goal was to build a simple, accessible website that articulates the Porotta Hut brand identity while effectively supporting both retail customers and franchise inquiries.

Summary

The website acts as a digital storefront that highlights Porotta Hut’s extensive culinary offerings. Through well-defined categories, users can easily browse the full range of items—from porotta varieties to noodles, curries, and special dishes. The design prioritizes a clear structure and straightforward navigation, ensuring customers can quickly find what they need, whether browsing on a desktop or a mobile device. Additionally, the site integrates vital operational details, including store locations and opening hours, alongside a dedicated franchise contact section, making the platform both informative and functional.

Challenge

Menu Complexity: The biggest challenge was presenting a large, diverse menu without overwhelming the user. With dozens of items spread across multiple food categories, it was critical to keep the interface clean and organized.

Diverse User Intent: The site had to cater to different audiences with varying goals—dine-in customers checking the vibe, takeaway users looking for quick options, and potential investors interested in franchise opportunities.

Mobile Optimization: Ensuring the site remained visually consistent and easy to navigate on mobile devices was crucial, given the high volume of mobile searches for restaurants.

Solutions

Structured Information Architecture: The menu was organized into clear, intuitive categories, allowing visitors to browse effortlessly and view items in a logical flow.

Responsive Design: A simple, responsive layout was implemented to ensure a smooth user experience across all devices, specifically optimizing for mobile users.

Strategic Content Placement: Key business information—such as service locations, timings, and franchise contact options—was placed prominently. This user-centric approach ensures the website serves as a practical tool that aligns with Porotta Hut’s fast-growing brand presence.
