Homestay Thekkady is a hospitality brand under Suryatrips that offers an authentic, nature-connected stay experience in Kerala, while also maintaining operations in France. The project scope involved creating a digital platform that caters to a multicultural audience, effectively bridging the gap between two distinct markets. The primary goal was to build a website that communicates the warmth, culture, and comfort of the homestay, serving as a welcoming and trustworthy portal for both Indian and French travelers.

Summary

The website is designed to reflect the brand's unique dual identity—rooted in the lush landscapes of Thekkady yet accessible to an international clientele. It serves as a visual and informational bridge, showcasing the property's amenities, local experiences, and distinct cultural vibe. The platform focuses on establishing credibility and ease of use, ensuring that visitors from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds can easily explore the offerings and envision their stay.

Challenge

Dual Audience & Language: The most significant challenge was creating a unified user experience for two very different user groups—Indian domestic travelers and French tourists. Each group has distinct browsing habits, expectations, and language requirements.

Cultural Balance: The design needed to strike a delicate balance: presenting deep cultural authenticity and "homeliness" while maintaining the polished, modern professional appearance expected by international travelers.

Competitive Differentiation: With a saturated homestay market in Thekkady, the website needed to visually and functionally distinguish the brand from competitors without cluttering the interface.

Solutions

Bilingual Architecture: A seamless bilingual structure was implemented, allowing users to switch effortlessly between English and French without losing context or navigation flow.

Visual Storytelling: To transcend language barriers, the site relies heavily on visual storytelling. High-quality imagery of the rooms, natural surroundings, and local attractions communicates the "experience" instantly, reducing the reliance on heavy text.

Simplified User Journey: The content was streamlined into clear, intuitive sections with a clean layout and prominent Calls to Action (CTAs). This mobile-friendly approach ensures that regardless of the device or the user's origin, the path from discovery to booking is smooth and inviting.
